В одной из последних версий появилась возможность non-transparent proxy server authentication. Она связана не с IP-адресом, а с сессией. Это было еще в 4-й версии. В каждом новом окошке браузера выскакивает запрос авторизации. Это решает проблему авторизации пользователей терминальных серверов.
Задача: необходимо на терминальном сервере предоставить доступ к некоторым сайтам без авторизации, а к остальным – через non-transparent proxy server authentication. Вот найденное решение:
Запретить доступ к странице авторизации Winroute с терминала
Разрешить просмотр определенных сайтов без авторизации

Всплыл глюк IE: при подключении через non-transparent proxy не получится зайти на сайты с авторизацией:
Web sites with authentication can’t be accessed via non-transparent proxy.
SolutionAnswer
When you use the non-transparent proxy option in WinRoute, you may notice that sites using HTTP Authentication no longer prompt for a username and password.
This is a bug in Microsoft Internet Explorer. A page using HTTP Authentication sends a request for authentication (called “WWW-Authenticate headers”) when requested. If Internet Explorer is configured to use a proxy server, it does not respond to this request. Please see Microsoft’s knoweldgebase article on this issue, under the section Integrated Windows Authentication.
Others browsers may not have this issue. We recommend installing a browser like Firefox if you need to use pages with HTTP Authentication together with the non-transparent proxy.
